CONTINUAL NEEDS OF PARISH AND SCHOOL

Library Memorial Fund – Cash or books may be donated in memory of a loved one. In this way our library is assisted in its constant quest for quality reading and resource material, and the person in whose memory theReligious-Thank-You-1 donation was made is honored perpetually.

Scholarship Fund – To help needy families stay in our school system. It has proven invaluable to families during times of medical or employment hardship and may be utilized on an annual or emergency basis. Call the office for further information.

Memorials – Memorials may be given in the format of cash donations of any amount or by means of physical property. Information on memorials may be obtained by contacting Saint John’s Parish Office. Any amount is welcome and appreciated.

PARISH DONATIONS
Cash or Check
An outright gift of cash or check is one of the simplest ways to make a gift. Please make checks payable to St. John the Baptist Parish. If you wish to be designated for a specific project or item please place on the “note” line of the check.

Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT)
Gifts through EFT are easily transferred electronically from either your checking or savings account on a monthly basis. Contact the parish office if you are interested in setting up EFT for your contributions.

Holiday Flower Donations
During the Easter and Christmas Holiday Seasons donations in memory of a deceased loved one or in memory of a living loved one are welcomed to help purchase flowers for our liturgical celebrations. Click on the link for the form.

Mass Offerings
Anyone wanting to have a Mass offered for a living or deceased person or special intention (ex. surgery, thanksgiving, anniversary, etc.) contact the parish office to learn if a specific date is available or to have a Mass offered at the earliest convenience. A $10.00 Mass stipend is customary.

Matching Gifts
Many companies will match employee contributions to nonprofit organizations such as St. John the Baptist Parish and School. Check with your human resources department at your place of employment to see if you qualify.

Memorial/Honor Gifts
Gifts can be made in memory or honor of a loved one to commemorate a special occasion or to say thanks to your favorite teacher or coach, etc. Simply let us know what the occasion is and who should be notified, and we will send a letter on your behalf informing them that a gift was made.

Planned Giving
Planned giving is a method of giving that offers options for making a charitable gift now or after your lifetime while, in many cases, also providing financial benefits to you or your loved ones. As their name implies, these gifts require some planning, typically with an attorney, and usually come from assets in your estate rather than disposable income. Common types of planned gifts are bequests in your will and charitable gift annuities. For more information contact the parish office and ask to speak to the pastor.

Sanctuary Candle
The red Sanctuary Lamp by the tabernacle burns to remind us of the sacramental presence of Jesus Christ. St. John’s has two Sanctuary Lamps. It is a mark of honor to remind the faithful of the presence of Christ and is a profession of their love and affection.

If you wish to have one of the sanctuary lamps burning in memory of a loved one, to honor a special occasion or a special intention, make arrangements with the Parish Office @715-352-3011. The cost of the candle is $5.00. It will burn for one week from Saturday to Friday. The memorial will be published in the Bulletin.

Teacher Wish List
If you would like to donate money to a specific classroom, you may do so by contacting the parish office at 715-352-3011.

Endowed Scholarships
An endowed scholarship allows you to make a difference long after your initial gift. Instead of using the entire amount of your gift outright, the total amount of your gift is invested, and the interest is used to support our students while the principal continues to grow. For more information about setting up an endowed scholarship contact the parish office.
