Youth Group

Mr. Martinez’s Thoughts:

T-Minus 2 days! March 17th is the youth group’s next event. We are having a party in celebration for St. Patrick’s day! There will be snacks, drinks, music and games, make sure you come ready for a great time! The youth group is still working on coming up with a new name, if you have any ideas please send them to Mr. Martinez @ jmartinez@stjohnedgar.org or call the parish office @ 715-352-3011. Don’t forget to register before March 28th for the ABLAZE Rally student in grades 6 through 8 are invited to attend.

  • Youth Group Night: Thursday March 17, 2022   5:30PM – 6:30PM in the Youth Group Room (rectory basement)
    • We will talk about St. Patrick and enjoy a night of games, snacks, drinks and music.
    • Grades 5 through 12 are invited to attend.
  • ABLAZE Rally – Youth Group Night: Wednesday March 30, 2022   6:30PM – 8:00 PM at Newman Catholic High School
    • Grades 6 through 8 are invited to attend.
    • $2 per student free will offering to help cover the cost.
    • We will meet at St. John’s at 5:45PM and carpool over – if we have enough participates sign up we will take a bus.
    • Anyone who is a part of St. John’s CCD will be excused to attend the rally.

  • Durand Deanery Youth Rally –  Sunday, May 1, 2022  9:30AM-5PM at St. Henry’s Parish Hall in Eau Galle, WI   
    • Grades 7 through 12 are invited to attend.
    • We will meet at St. John’s at 7AM and car pool over – if we have enough participates sign up we will take a bus.
    • Please contact Juan @ jmartinez@stjohnedgar.org or the parish office @ 715-352-3011 before April 21st to register.
  • Adventure Camp: June 26th – July 1st
    • Grades 6 through 12 are invited to register
    • The high adventure gives young people a chance to challenge themselves physically and mentally while being encouraged by their fellow campers. The most important piece of Adventure Camp is the young people growing more deeply with their relationship with Christ and connecting it to every aspect of their lives.
    • Cost: $110 before May 1st registration, $120 after May 1st registration

  • Steubenville: July 29th – July 31st
    • Steubenville | St. Paul is a weekend conference that evangelizes, equips and empowers 8th-12th grade youth to become radical, joyful disciples. Enjoy keynote speakers, praise and worship, Eucharistic Adoration, Reconciliation, and much more.
    • Cost: $175 before May 11th registration, $185 after May 11th registration.
