YOUTH GROUP

Mr. Martinez’s Thoughts:

It has been a busy few weeks here at St. John’s. Our school is preparing for the end of the school year, Matthew Szymanski is here for a visit, everything is looking green and alive after a long winter, and the youth group has been booming with activities. There is a lot of opportunities to join the fun and for volunteer work! I hope to see you in all the upcoming events listed below.

  • Kick off to Summer Campfire – June 3rd at 7:00 PM – 10:00 PM
    • Families are invited, special invite for youth group (5th grade through 12th grade)
    • Behind St. John’s church and school
    • There will be snacks, drinks, games, and music.

  • Marian Study – Wednesday Nights: June 1st at 8:00 pm 
    • Grades 10, 11 and 12 are invited to attend
    • We will talk about Mary and her role throughout the Bible
    • We will watch a video with discussion to follow after the video

  • Youth Group Car Wash – June 5th during 9:00 am Mass
    • Calling all youth 5th grade through 12th grade, Mr. Martinez will meet you in front of St. John’s school at 8:30 AM to prepare for washing the cars. Parents, if your child would like to help please contact Nancy at 715-352-3011.
    • Baked goods will be available
    • Free will donations will be accepted
  • Adventure Camp: June 26th – July 1st
    • Grades 6 through 12 are invited to register
    • The high adventure gives young people a chance to challenge themselves physically and mentally while being encouraged by their fellow campers. The most important piece of Adventure Camp is the young people growing more deeply with their relationship with Christ and connecting it to every aspect of their lives.
    • Cost: $110 before May 1st registration, $120 after May 1st registration

  • Steubenville: July 29th – July 31st
    • Steubenville | St. Paul is a weekend conference that evangelizes, equips and empowers 8th-12th grade youth to become radical, joyful disciples. Enjoy keynote speakers, praise and worship, Eucharistic Adoration, Reconciliation, and much more.
    • Cost: $175 before May 11th registration, $185 after May 11th registration

  • June 5, 2022
    • Car washing
      • We will be washing cards during the 9:00 am Mass.
      • All material will be provided.
      • Please meet in front of the school by 8:30 am for instructions
  • June 25, 2022
    • Chalkfest
      • We will be have a booth for Face Painting
      • We will also be helping with the Lemonade Stand.
      • Start time is 8:30 am.
  • August 11, 2022
    • Concert in the park
      • We need pies and cookies
      • Help from 4:00 pm – 9:00 pm (two hour shifts)
  • August 26 – August 28, 2022
    • Steam Show
      • Helping at the gates from 6:00 am – 8:00 pm on Friday and Saturday (2 hour shifts)
      • Helping at the gates from 6:00 am – 1:00 pm on Sunday (2 hour shifts)
      • Adults needed to be with youth
